The Wife Bought A New Nighty

One evening, after a long day of work, Lisa decided it was time for a little fun surprise. She’d been eyeing a sleek, see-through nighty at the store for weeks. Finally, she bought it, thrilled about how it shimmered like a piece of art.

Without telling her husband, Dan, she slipped into it, sans undergarments—ready to make an unforgettable entrance.

She waltzed into the living room, where Dan was lounging on the couch, absorbed in his phone. Lisa, with her new nighty flowing like a whisper, did a little twirl. She swung around dramatically, trying to get his attention.

Dan looked up for a split second, then immediately buried his face back into his phone, missing the whole spectacle. “Oh, what’s up, honey?” he said, distracted.

Lisa, now a bit deflated but determined, tried again. She pulled off an exaggerated pirouette, giving her best “come-hither” look.

Dan glanced up again, still only half-aware of his surroundings. “I’ll tell you what’s up,” he mumbled. “I can’t find the TV remote…”

A frustrated sigh escaped her. “Dan! Did you even notice what I’m wearing?” she asked, hands on her hips.

He blinked, looked her over, then scratched his head. “Uh, yeah. You’re… wearing a new sweater?”

Lisa’s jaw nearly hit the floor.

“Oh, no, no, no! It’s a nighty!” she corrected, hands gesturing like she was presenting a rare diamond.

Dan’s eyes finally widened with realization. He then grinned sheepishly. “Oh, I thought it was… uh, part of a new ‘stealth mode’ look. I wasn’t sure if you were trying to disappear or… make a fashion statement.”

Lisa couldn’t help but burst into laughter. “Stealth mode?! What am I, a ninja?”

“Well,” Dan smirked, “I wasn’t sure if you were about to pop out and surprise me, or if this was just your… ‘new nighttime camouflage’ for when you sneak snacks in the kitchen.”

They both laughed, and in the end, the nighty was a hit—though Dan’s initial lack of attention certainly made it the most amusing fashion debut ever.
